This course provides an in-depth knowledge of Strategic Management. Topics covered include: strategy development; the external environment; an organisation's competitiveness; generic competitive strategies; and performance monitoring.

AluWindows Company Ltd. has been making sliding aluminium windows in Ghana for 25 years. Their plant is now a little rundown and there is a strong Nigerian competitor looking at the Ghanaian market. AluWindows Company has a number of highly skilled and experienced employees who know more about window manufacturing than most people in the industry. Some of these key employees are now nearing retirement. Market demand is still good, but the market growth rate cannot be determinned. Additionally, macro economic conditions are not favorable in both countries.
